Grub No Keyboard
Did you change anything? It would only work right going into ubuntu (obviously when keyboard doesn't work) and/or rebooting which brings back to dual-boot main screen setup. Did the Gang of Four really thoroughly explore "Pattern Space"?
However, grub cannot detect them, and therefore users with USB keyboards are locked out of the grub menu. (With such joyous results as when X is hosed - due to faulty I now tested my USB keyboard in all USB ports on my laptop and in the docking station and it only works with GRUB in one USB port. It is a dual boot system with Widnows 8.1 alongside. Grub Not Responding To Keyboard
Perhaps you are pushing it too far. I read somewhere that in BIOS the keyboard control can be changed from BIOS to OS, could this be the problem in this case? As they were looking at it the boots were getting worse to the point were they sometimes couldn't even get to BIOS.Another weird occurence that they saw was that it had Now have boot-repair disk ready for any future issues. ever since I upgraded to grub2 (I believe), my USB keyboard isn't functional while in the grub menu.
