Try plugging in headphones and removing them again, sometimes this "resets" the connector. These are all great but before i even tried any of this I opened terminal and poof fixed! Mr. Macbook Air Volume Locked bebz hmmm…mine made a sound thats like on the T.V.
After going into system preferences my socket was glowing red; using the paperclip made the red light go out and now the built-in sound works. No Sound Macbook Air didn't have to do anything at all. Thanks so much. Thank you for the help.

didn't have to do anything at all. SL Rutledge I had to delete the Bezel files. But I'd still like to know a permanent fix. Oan De Waal Apparently it is parallels that gives the problem. Internal Speakers Not Listed Output Mac One of the USB ports acts sporadically, and the backlight for the keyboard doesn't work.
