Make sure you pause the song (I did it in iTunes), made sure it was on "Output" on the sound tab and it reset. munim khan Every talk on this issue is just crap i found this link on youtube i work with me. Macbook Pro Sound Not Working didn't have to do anything at all. If you can, I would see if you can look into the headphone jack and see if there is any damage or dust or anything like that.
