They usually sputter and die later but we always try the lens cleaner and remove/reinstall the drive just in case it's a lens/connection issue.But if you are at a service counter useful reference You need to insert discs nearly all the way before the drive will activate and pull them in.
it's a no-go btw. It feels like when you push the disk in, it hits something inside when the disk is half way in. However, the is difficult when your drive doesn't read a DVD. Last night, I tried all the steps mentioned but no success.
