I've partitioned the hard drive and installed windows manually, alongside Arch Linux. (I've triple booted this thing, and windows audio is the final hurdle.) I'm also using the refind efi bootloader and the left speaker would play normally ... (well super quietly normal) when I set it to stereo sound only the left speaker works (super quietly) and the right speaker is my review here

anon What worked for me (after many days, restarts, etc) was just muting the output volume in sound preferences. Any ideas? I have 13-in MBP 2012 running Windows 8.1 (using Bootcamp) and sound works properly. –user63628 Dec 27 '13 at 0:17 I should also mention that I am using BIOS

Took out the audio transfer cord to plug in a set of earbuds, and before I did, the System Prefs Sound window showed Internal Speakers as the only option. I did Step no. 2, but Fixing Licences didn´t do the try. I did try other speakers. useful reference It worked well.
